I was tired of being blind at night. To say that the headlight on this bike was abysmal may be a bit generous towards the bike. I sure couldn’t see anything at night. I told myself it was a “for being seen” light, but even that may have been a bit optimistic. The headlight bucket on these old CB360s is between two fairly standard and common sizes. Instead of ordering a new bucket, I opted to pick up the reflector for a smaller bucket and make it fit. This 18″ length of radiator hose from the auto parts store did nicely.
The result is fantastic. I can see everything on the road. The beam pattern is really fun as well. It looks like wings of light stretching out in front of me as a fly down the road. I like to say that an angel moved into my headlight bucket.
